The time she spent in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate the Italian way of life and its culture and this has left an impact on her own culinary perspective. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve children's lives who are facing difficulties. Additionally, she is an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity ambassador where she advocates for education about the condition known as juvenile diabetes. As a speaker, Burrell makes trips across the country to speak about her passion for cuisine and to promote her professional career as a chef. Anne said she felt lucky that I could be able to share her passion for cooking with other people.
