Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn is an American TV and film actress. She's been an professional actor for 27 years. She made her acting debut on stage with an off Broadway production The Big Funk by John Patrick Shanley in the year 1990. Her next role was her first TV role, The Perfect Tribute. In 1992 her career was started when she was commissioned to play a role in the film Basic Instinct. It was in The Firm however that she got the role of woman leading the film for just the first time and that too opposite stars like Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. The 1990s saw her professional career was a collaboration with Hollywood's top actors like Gwyneth as in Sliding Doors, Hugh Grant Mickey Blue Eyes, and Julie Andrews Relative Values. Most recently, she played the role of Alex Blake, Dr. Alex Blake in Criminal Minds.
